I have questions, the internet has answers

Through my second blog post I am going to explore a fundamental trait of mine. The fact that I am almost unnaturally curious. Now a lot of times this can be misinterpreted for being nosey, which seem to go hand in hand with curiosity, and some may argue that they are one in the same. Now a lot of things that I am curious about and find interesting are incredibly boring to most people. One thing that I have always found interesting is the human mind and how people think. Here are a couple articles that I have stumbled upon that I have found interesting. I will do my best sum up the articles and let you decide if you would like to read them for yourself or not.

The first article addresses a question that no matter who you are, I can guaruntee that at one point or another, you have obsessed over for hours. The article is called Want to know if someone likes you? Now as promised I will spoil the article in an effort to save you some time. The author of the article explores the idea that laughter has a direct link to whether or not a person likes you or not. This could mean anyone from your secret crush to your coworkers and classmates. While reading this article I looked back on my life, and came to the realization that there was merit to this, not only in the reactions of others but I found myself guilty of this too. I realized that no matter quality of joke or amusing observation, when it comes from a person that I do not like, at the very best it may get a smirk.

When an article is called How do I improve my memory? Most people would not expect the first sentence to be "Do you know what is essential for a good memory? The ability to forget." This article explores a thing that not many people, including me, think about, and that is the importance of forgetting. I wasn't sure if these people were really out there or if they had been a "what if" thought of someone, but apparently there really are people who can remember every detail of their life. After reading this I realized that for me personally this would be absolute torture. I already have trouble letting little mistakes going, but if I could never forget them I don't know if I could survive.

Well thats all for this week, hopefully I've kept you entertained and maybe sparked a bit of curiosity in you too. Until next time.
